Cloud Solution Architect
start date: as soon as possible

Your role:

To grow our software engineering team, we are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect who will be responsible for designing and developing cloud systems. You have technical knowledge to build and review technical architecture designs. You will also be required to support the deployment and delivery with hands-on experience as required during the pre or post design architectural cycle. You know when good is “good enough” and where to take a closer look.

What you will own:

  • Design and prototype cloud solutions, create solution architecture document covering deep technical aspects of the implementation
  • Lead implementation of the solution from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"
  • Partnering with DevOps to plan CI/CD, infrastructure deployments, upgrades, technical refresh and preventative maintenance
  • Own the delivery process up to public releases to clients; challenge the status quo 
  • Conduct cloud solutions architecture reviews
  • Design, implement and document the software architecture and new features
  • Serve as a cloud evangelist, consult and provide technical guidance on cloud solutions design, build, governance, security, operations and cost control best practices

Your profile:

  • 3+ year experience of designing, executing and supporting cloud solutions
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Experience in modern cloud architecture with history of successful implementation of complex AWS, Azure or GCP solutions
  • Experience designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies
  • Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
  • Deep expertise in solution architecture including web services, REST API,  relational and non-relational databases, front-end and/or back-end technologies
  • Familiar with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deployment
  • Strong communication skills, ability to present technical ideas in business-friendly language
  • Relevant cloud certifications are highly desirable
  • Experience on deployment of complex software solution on premise is a plus
