Blue innovation and Flyability form business partnership to bring indoor inspection to the Japanese market

Blue innovation adopts Elios, the perfect aircraft for small indoor spaces, and develops new solutions for the indoor inspections sector.

Blue innovation Co., Ltd., the innovative drone solution provider, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan announces its plan to deliver five new services for security, indoor inspection, education & safety, entertainment, and logistics, by leveraging Blue Earth Platform (BEP), its software and hardware platform that enables complex missions via cooperation and coordination of multiple drones.

In the indoor inspections sector, Blue innovation is developing and experimenting the usage of the Elios drone for sewage and telephone tunnel inspections, bringing Flyabilty and Blue innovation to enter a business partnership. As part of this partnership, Blue innovation will adopt Flyability’s product, Elios, the aircraft possessing unique capabilities for indoor flight in narrow spaces, and develop indoor inspection solutions and services that were not possible before. Flyability Elios is not affected by compass error, an issue that proved to be crippling for Blue innovation during previous experiments made with other drones. This particularity of Elios enables stable flight in pipelines and other narrow spaces, so many environments for which Blue innovation is developing new solutions and services.

"We are very pleased and honored to start a cooperation with Blue innovation. With strong manufacturing, chemical, and energy sectors, Japan is a key market for us," says Patrick Thévoz, CEO, and Co-Founder of Flyability. "The potential for UAV indoor inspection is high and Blue Innovation will be an excellent partner to bring and develop the use of Elios there."

"We at Blue innovation are much honored to form a partnership with Flyability and develop new business together," says BlueInnovation's CEO Takayuki Kumada. "I have been fascinated by Elios, which can fly even in indoor narrow spaces, and I am sure this aircraft will increase the added-value for our customers."

It is also active in Search & Rescue and Security to assess emergency situations without putting humans at risk.
