Flyability Completes SOC 2® Type II Examination for Its Cloud Platform, Strengthening Trust in Drone Data Management
Lausanne, 31 March 2026 – Flyability, the market leader in confined space drone inspections, announced today that its cloud platform, Inspector Online—formerly Flyability Cloud—has completed a SOC 2® Type II examination, part of the System and Organization Controls (SOC) reporting frameworks developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This milestone reflects Flyability’s commitment to maintaining controls relevant to security, availability, and confidentiality as it expands its cloud-based capabilities.
This milestone comes amid rising demand for online inspection platforms and increasing expectations around data protection. The assets inspected and managed by Flyability users worldwide vary in sensitivity and confidentiality, and the completion of a SOC 2 Type II examination supports the use of Elios technology by organizations with stringent data protection requirements.
“As inspection programs scale, customers need more than data capture—they need powerful ways to analyze, share, and collaborate on their data,” said Adrien Briod, Flyability’s CTO and co-founder. “These capabilities rely on cloud infrastructure, and completing a SOC 2 Type II examination supports adoption within enterprise environments with strong security expectations.”
Over the past two years, Flyability has expanded its online platform to unlock capabilities that go beyond standalone software. To reflect this evolution, Flyability is renaming Flyability Cloud to Inspector Online, positioning it as the cloud-based complement to Flyability’s flagship Inspector desktop software. The SOC 2 Type II examination demonstrates Flyability’s commitment to industry-recognized controls and is expected to help streamline security review processes for prospective customers.
To complete the SOC 2 Type II examination, Flyability engaged an independent auditor to assess its controls over several months, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls relevant to security, availability, and confidentiality.
The completion of the SOC 2 Type II examination reinforces Flyability’s commitment to supporting enterprise-scale deployments and strengthening confidence among existing and prospective Inspector Online users. It aligns with Flyability’s vision of a fully integrated inspection ecosystem, combining advanced drone technology with secure, scalable cloud services.
A webinar presenting the latest security updates and Inspector Online features will be held on April 21 2026, with registration available on the Flyability website.
